Mountain Duck can at times be buggy indeed. The developers seem tobe very active (releasing an update just today) but I have had some minor issues with it but overall once it works, it works well.

Instead, you can mount your dropbox using the dropbox client and point Cryptomator to it. Has worked really well for me as the Dropbox client is very solid. Your information stays encrypted E2E which is handy. You lose the option to “Selectively Sync” though.
